A guy in Arizona is accused of going on a shooting spree that included killing his father after an argument and holding three hostages at gunpoint. Police in Case Grande, California, have suggested that the suspect, 32-year-old Christopher Lawrence Chase, be officially charged with murder. Police say that at 1:43 a.m. on Monday, the neighbourhood fire department was called to a residence at 200 North Brown Avenue due to a report of a structure fire. Investigators found that Thomas and Christopher had a violent altercation on July 22 at Thomas' residence in the 1700 block of North Terrace Circle, according to the authorities. Because of this altercation, Christopher shot Thomas dead and then cut up his body. The official determination of the cause of death has not yet been made by a medical examiner.

According to a news release from the police, "further investigation has established that Christopher was assisted by his 56-year-old mother, Melissa Lynne Chase, in the concealment and cleanup of evidence." Without posting bond, authorities detained Christopher Chase at the Pinal County Adult Detention Facility. He should be charged with homicide, abandonment or concealment of a dead body, kidnapping, aggravated assault, burglary, and tampering with evidence, according to investigators.
